Hello.
According to Tripit, I spent 171 days on the road in 2019. According to Strava I ran 818 miles, cycled 1501, and managed 36 hours of swimming. I also participated in triathlons at home in the UK, and in Chicago. I ran the Hot Chocolate 15k in Seattle, the Berlin marathon, the Brooklyn Half, and the Krampus Cross Country 10k in San Francisco. Less excitingly I have spent a significant amount of time in hotel gyms. Hotel gyms that range from those which appear to have been assembled by someone who once saw a picture of a gym, to the amazing TWA Hotel gym at JFK.
I travel, I work, and I run. Over the past few years of doing this I've picked up a number of tips for managing a training schedule on the road. Along with useful information for business travel, booking flights, maintaining airline status, and simply staying in one piece when spending so much of life on the move. This site is somewhere for me to share that more widely than the emails I send to friends when they ask for advice on one of these things.
